Can architecture still have autonomy?

According to UN Studios the lesson is to “switch it on, switch it off” … to find autonomy in brief moments of liberation.

The installation structure presents an architecture that is as supple as a textile, in which floors, walls, and ceilings flow into each other.

The installation structure presents an architecture that is as supple as a textile, in which floors, walls, and ceilings flow into each other.

...and in this case, the walls really are bendy.

On the inside of the installation, visitors encounter a kaleidoscopic world full of people posing, where they can observe different modes of interaction with the changing room and reconceptualize their own relationship to the space and beyond.

We developed a then ground-breaking software to map videos to the geometry of the architecture. The bank of videos was curated by the software, which searched YouTube for videos tagged with the keyword “change” and projected them onto the walls of the space.

Projectors integrated into the ceiling

We modified ultra-short throw projectors to integrate them in the ceiling so that the projectors were flush.

We were responsible for technical setup under the hood to aesthetic quality assurance before the opening.
