Explorer Program: Spatial Communication
Our six-month Explorer Program is your chance to contribute to the development of impressive learning spaces – at the intersection of software, hardware, space, and communication. You have an eye for architecture, experience in furniture and exhibit design, and technical know-how? Then become part of our transdisciplinary team.
Design, Planning and Implementation
From Concept to Reality
Our Explorer Program is designed to help you discover your talents and find out how and what you enjoy working on. From the very beginning, you’ll be part of our team and take on tasks in real client projects.
Our work is diverse and spans five Fields of Expertise for clients in culture, industry, and science.
Since we offer all service phases, from consulting and creation to planning, production, and commissioning, our Explorers also take part in all these steps toward a successful outcome.
Alongside our contract work, we continuously improve our workflows and our own infrastructure. Or we conduct our own research and development in the field of new technologies – there will also be time for that during your internship.
In addition to working in interdisciplinary project teams, all Explorers are supported by a mentor. This creates space for new perspectives, feedback, personal development, and efficient learning.
As an Explorer, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment creatively, test ideas, and improve your skills. This can happen in projects as well as in our workshop. You’ll also learn to plan your work time and complete tasks independently.
What is important to us
Transdisciplinary Work
We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds and are not limited to specific fields of study or degrees. Knowledge of structural and technical planning of spatial solutions – both in the design and implementation phases – is essential. We also expect a sense of responsibility, teamwork skills, and the motivation to actively contribute to our projects. If this sounds like you, all doors are open and we look forward to entrusting you with relevant tasks.
Ideally, you have a passion for:
- designing spaces, multimedia experiences, and aesthetically pleasing and robust exhibits with integrated state-of-the-art hardware solutions
- visualizations in Twinmotion, Rhino, Fusion360 or other CAD tools
- soldering and tinkering with electronics, display controllers and sensors
- prototyping with 3D printers, laser cutters and perforated boards
- skilled handling of materials such as wood, plastic and metal
- the final implementation of our customized solutions on-site and ensuring a flawless end result
- structured workflows and clear communication with your team and clients
Both our team and our clients are international, so excellent German and English language skills are essential. We are open to remote work, but it is important to us that our teams also meet regularly in person at our Frankfurt office.
Are you planning your thesis or diploma ?
Explorers have the opportunity to complete their degree during their time with us. We can take an active role, support you with in-depth knowledge and help you with choosing the right topic.
What’s next?
Of course, we are always open to our Explorers joining our team long-term after their internship. Many of our current employees started their career at MESO this way.
