The key to interaction
Adding a digital layer to real spaces is our specialty. The aim is always to create a user experience in which analog and digital complement each other seamlessly instead of interfering with each other.
With the “Curioscope”, we have developed a particularly subtle interface for spatial situations of all kinds. Simple interaction via a physical card becomes the key to multimedia content. Technically a barcode reader, it virtually “writes” information onto a card “with light”. The Curioscope is integrated in a simple and space-saving way, requires hardly any explanation and can be individually modified depending on the application.

Countless digital functions hidden behind the analog codes

Technically, the Curioscope sends simple MQTT messages; with our expertise in software solutions, we are able to integrate various interfaces to systems of all kinds or even develop them exclusively. For example, tablets can be added as part of a modular and even more comprehensive solution.
The Curioscope’s scanner reads both barcodes and QR codes with minimal requirements for size and spacing. Apart from this, the cards can be designed as desired – with the look, material and format of your choice.
The integrated light sequence with RGB LEDs provides visual feedback when the code is successfully recognized. For additional individualization, each code triggers a unique play of colors so that all users encounter their personal “fingerprint” at all readers.
