The “Portable Power Point Pilot” is a special tool for guided tours through the Sanofi plant in Frankfurt Höchst. In 2006, we developed this tool to allow tour-guides to play back standard Powerpoint presentations over a set of portable PCs while their group is on site or in a bus.
Every visitor gets their own PC and can follow along with the presentations on their own screen. All actions by the tour-guide are transmitted via WLAN to all linked portable PC; presentations and slides can be changed and the cursor can be moved. We delivered the full system including all transportation cases and a battery-powered WLAN access point which can be charged using the car battery.
